About Us
UC Berkeley Model United Nations (UCBMUN) is a dynamic community where students from all majors come together to explore the world of international diplomacy, policy, and leadership. Our organization offers a unique platform for members to engage in critical discussions on global issues, develop key skills on negotiation and public speaking, and collaborate with like-minded individuals passionate about making a difference.
Members have a chance to participate in the travel team, organize conferences on the collegiate and high school circuit, and engage with real-world challenges, all the while being part of an environment that values innovation and social responsibility. We draw inspiration from the diverse and progressive culture of Berkeley, making UCBMUN a place where ideas are challenged, leaders are made, and lasting connections are formed.

UCBMUN is one of the most prestigious collegiate Model United Nations conferences on the West Coast, bringing together students from across the globe to debate pressing real-world issues in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This year’s committees span both innovation and imagination—from tackling the future of Stark Industries, to protecting critical infrastructure in DISEC, to stepping into the world of the Capulets in Romeo and Juliet. UCBMUN offers delegates a unique blend of professional rigor and creative debate, making it an unforgettable experience for all who attend.

Travel Team
Ranked 12th in the nation, the UCBMUN Travel Team represents UC Berkeley at premier Model United Nations conferences worldwide. As one of Berkeley’s most competitive and close-knit delegations, the team competes at the highest level of diplomacy while cultivating excellence in debate, collaboration, and leadership. Members sharpen their skills in negotiation and public speaking, build connections, and showcase Cal’s commitment to global engagement on the international stage.

BearMUN
Founded in 2019, BearMUN is UCBMUN’s premier high school conference, dedicated to providing students with a unique opportunity to engage in vibrant debate while developing their public speaking and leadership skills. Beyond committee sessions, delegates have the chance to explore the UC Berkeley campus and its historic surroundings, enriching their conference experience with the spirit and tradition of one of the world’s leading universities.
